During the summer of 2017, Missoula Conservation District hosted five community listening sessions throughout Missoula County to identify the natural resource concerns and priorities of the communities that we serve. We also posted an online survey for those who were unable to attend a listening session but still wanted to share their thoughts.
Listening sessions were held in May and June in Lolo, Frenchtown, Condon, Potomac, and Missoula, and were advertised via posters and postcards placed throughout the county, listservs and event pages, emails, and social media. The survey was available online from April 19 – August 10, 2017.
We will work to review all of the feedback received from the listening sessions and survey in the coming months. The information received will be used to help inform our next Long Range Plan, which sets the district’s goals and priorities, including grant programs and workshops, for the next five years.
