The Missoula Conservation District (MCD) is pleased to offer two $2,500 scholarships to support Missoula County students pursuing undergraduate degrees and careers related to natural resource conservation and stewardship.
- MCD High School Senior Scholarship for Missoula County high school seniors planning to attend a post-secondary institution.
- MCD Post-Secondary Scholarship for Missoula County residents currently enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited post-secondary institution or planning on enrolling after a gap period.
Eligibility Requirements
Students must meet all of the following criteria to apply:
- Be a resident of Missoula County, Montana
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be A Missoula County high school senior, or a Missoula County resident currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution as an undergraduate
- Be enrolled in or planning to pursue a course of study related to natural resources, including but not limited to: agriculture, agribusiness. animal science, rangeland management, rangeland management, plant science, forestry, wildlife biology, environmental studies/science, sustainability, land resource science/ land use planning, hydrology or water resources, conservation, ecology, or natural resource management, soil science, watershed science, environmental law, environmental policy.
The application must include the following:
- A letter of recommendation from an instructor familiar with your work
- Your unofficial transcript listing courses taken and grades received
- Acceptance letter to an accredited college
- Online application form with all required questions completed

2026 Missoula CD Scholarship Application
Application Deadline: March 31st, 2026
The MCD Scholarship Committee anticipates notifying recipients by the end of April or early May. The recipients will be recognized at the May 11th, 2026 MCD Board Meeting.
